Fragrant bouquets, a relaxing
mani/pedi, sentimental cards and a delicious meal with the family – you can make
Mother’s Day next Sunday, May 11 truly special when you spend the day enjoying
downtown.
Why not start her perfect experience with a cup of coffee from
Starbucks and a pampering treatment at one of downtown’s
luxurious spas such as SunsetBodyWorks, Balance Day Spa at the Hotel Icon and Emerge
Beauty Salon. Then, meet up for a stroll through beautiful Discovery Green, with its expansive green lawns, cool public art and
interactive water features to help the whole group work up an appetite.
The Grove is offering a fantastic $39 three-course meal, tasty
specialty cocktails and a children’s menu.
As always, Spindletop’s scrumptious $55.95 buffet gives mom a spectacular view
of downtown along with everything from spicy boiled shrimp, jambalaya and a huge
variety of serving stations.
At Zula on Main, mom can feast on a $55 four-course menu
and if your party is six or more, the champagne is on the house. And of course,
don’t forget the flowers and something special. Nearly a dozen florists are
available to take your order today. Check out our Website for a list of them. For a gift or a card, choices
range from the traditional at the Shops at Houston
Center and Macy’s to the super easy Downtown Gift
Card. Purchase
the card in $10 through $500 denominations and mom can use it at any
of the more than 100 downtown businesses participating in the program. Doesn’t
she deserve the very best?
