The GGD recently recognized the
contributions from the area’s volunteers, leaders and public officials at its
“Greenspoint Partners – A Celebration” event. The acknowledgements honored the
individuals and organizations who, in 2006, demonstrated an exemplary commitment
to the GGD’s mission of attracting the best in commercial and residential
life.
Honorees receiving the most coveted awards of the evening
were:
- Partner of the Year recipient
Harris County Sheriff’s Office
- Company of the Year recipient
Michael Baker Jr. Inc.
- Volunteer of the Year
recipient Pamela Minich, a GGD board member
- Special Achievement award
recipient Jeff Kaiser of Same Day Signs
- Lifetime Achievement award
recipient retired Texas Senator Jon Lindsay
Greenspoint’s community spirit was celebrated with
the people and organizations behind the partnerships that ensure the area’s
growth and prosperity. Honorees included:
- Airline and Aldine improvement districts
- Aldine-Greenspoint YMCA
- Tracy Wingate of the City of Houston
“The contributions made by our
partners and volunteers showcase their commitment to enhancing the quality of
life in Greenspoint,” said Jack Drake,
president of the GGD. “These are
people and organizations whose special bond with the community leads them to
give a little more to help or push a little harder for results.”
The event was underwritten by Montgomery & Associates,
